South Barn is a well loved sunny South facing holiday home recently refurbished to a high standard on the East Portlemouth side of Salcombe. The house has 6 bedrooms and sleeps 12. In a fantastic location between the resorts of Dartmouth and Salcombe near Start Point, the barn is on the coast path less than a mile from the beach at Beesands.

Detached and standing in its own 2 acre grounds the barn is sheltered from the wind in the hamlet of Huccombe in the rolling South Hams hills. There are many beautiful beaches nearby all with very different characters. It is an ideal base to explore the most Southerly part of Devon which is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is known for its mild climate.  The house is well equipped and aims to provide a home from home for holidaymakers. South Barn offers a fantastic base for a holiday in a quiet rural hamlet yet within easy reach of the nearest town of Kingsbridge for shopping. Waitrose, Sainsbury's and Tesco will deliver and home cooked meal deliveries can be arranged via the owner.

                    

We are happy to offer advice about the area prior to your visit and like to provide a personal touch by greeting our guests when they arrive and providing a welcome homemade cake. We can also provide information about local attractions, restaurants or pubs, babysitters, chefs, supermarket deliveries, golf courses, sailing, surfing, fishing, activities for children, watersports and anything else you might need to help you plan your holiday. We want to help you make your holiday a real success so we send you our insider guide to the local area before you visit.

South Barn is ideal for a large family group and we often have guests who are celebrating a big birthday or other special family event.
